    Lobbying struggle over the retail regulation law: progress report

    Russia’s image committee of the Russian Public Relations Association (RASO) and International Institute for Political Expertise (IIPE) held an open discussion "Lobbying struggle over the retail regulation law: progress report".

    The main activity of the discussion was presentation of the special research conclusions devoted to new Russian law about retail regulation. Research was conducted by the IIPE in September-November 2009 and is focused on several problems:

    • Efficiency of the lobbying campaigns of the main market players
    • Political aspect of the retail regulation law struggle
    • "Random beneficiary" effect. Who will take benefits without any GR and PR investments?
    • The consequences of a law adoption for Russia’s image and attractiveness for investors.
